What to do first in Grand Bahama? Well the hotels urge you to stay in the Port Lucaya area, because the Port Lucaya show is catered to what they think tourist want to see when they come to the islands of the Bahamas, For example the show in Port Lucaya displays fire dancing, a bit of junkanoo, limbo contests and local beauties dancing the night away in a spectacular show that happens every night.
Now if you really feel like partying it up with the locals, save Port Lucaya for a week night and dedicate your weekends to Club Tropicana and the Prop Club. At Club Tropicana, you will be welcomed with open arms and a gracious crowd. The people here are mainly locals with a few tourists in the mix. But the vibe is really nice and the music is awesome. With free entry and the drinks being really cheap, this night club offers the best of both worlds.
Now if your not into the club atmosphere, but you still want to have a good time, head on over to the Prop Club, where you will find DJ Monty on the set along with a live band. However, the Prop Club does have its drawbacks. It is an expensive place to get a drink compared to other bars in the area, and they close promptly at 2am.
Club Amnesia is the night spot were all the concerts are held. If you want to see any hip hop reggae or R & B concerts, this is the place to go. They even have guest deejays on certain nights such as Waggy T and Black Chiney.
Other bars that you may be interested in going to include Club Rock and Roll, Safari Night Club, Bahama Mama's, Harbour Room and Jon B's
